Nicole Piligian » Bio


Ms. Piligian (she/her/hers) is a new educator ready for her second year of teaching at Stipe Elementary. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree  in Child Development, Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, and her Master’s Degree in Education at San Jose State University. Before teaching with Oak Grove, she was a substitute for the district for four years. Ms. Piligian believes fun is the best educational motivator, and encourages collaborative thinking and creative problem solving with her bright and positive energy. She is passionate about creating an equitable space for all students, civil justice issues, environmentalism, and creating a welcoming classroom in which all students can thrive. She firmly believes that every student has the potential to succeed, and is dedicated to building trusting relationships and bettering her own education as a lifelong learner in order to best support her students. Ms. Piligian is a part of the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Committee for the district, and feels honored to serve the community of this school and district in any way she can. In her free time, she enjoys baking, reading, hiking, listening to music, and spending time with her family, friends, and partner.
